People are mislead to think that the PS3 version of UR3 was in development longer than the 360. Instead Gears of War was the first game to actually use COMPLETED Unreal 3 Engine code....
Unreal Tournment 3 development was only demo-ed on early PS3 dev kits that ran on two SLI 6800 cards. During that time none of the PS3's features were finalized or further development was done before the PC's version was complete.
In fact Epic used the Unreal 3 Engine on the 360...
I don't think the fans are really complaining about 'colors', but rather the tone of the visuals. The fans what a more 'evil' looking game, hense the games name, DIABLO 3. I think the art director is not connecting the dark story with the visual atmosphere. I didn't care for the Warcraft 3's art direction either, but on Diablo 3 it looks even worse. In fact, the look is not horrible, but I think with the tech that is available Blizzard should realize a more 'dark' or 'satanic' look and atomos...
